German Sourdough Bread (no Bread Machine)

Total Time: 24 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 24 hrs

Ingredients

  • 2 (1/4 ounce) packages dry yeast
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup flour (one half can be rye flour)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 4 1/2 cups flour (one third can be rye flour)

Recipe

  • 1 sourdough:.
  • 2 mix yeast with warm water.
  • 3 mix yeast mixture with flour.
  • 4 let stand for 24 hours at a warm place.
