Cranberry Sauce The British Way

Ingredients

- 2 (9 ounce) packages fresh cranberries
- 1 cup cider vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/2 inch piece of peeled ginger
Recipe
- 1 rinse cranberries and sort.
- 2 place all the ingredients in a saucepan. bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.
- 3 remove the cinnamon stick and ginger.
- 4 pour into bowl and serve at room temperature or chill before serving.
