Cranberry Sauce The British Way

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 (9 ounce) packages fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 inch piece of peeled ginger

Recipe

  • 1 rinse cranberries and sort.
  • 2 place all the ingredients in a saucepan. bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.
  • 3 remove the cinnamon stick and ginger.
  • 4 pour into bowl and serve at room temperature or chill before serving.
