Green Beans With Tahini And Garlic

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 1/2 lbs green beans (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 teaspoons salt, to taste
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons mustard seeds
  • 8 -9 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 inch ginger, crushed
  • 3 tablespoons tahini
  • 4 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Recipe

  • 1 cut beans 1 inch long.
  • 2 steam until crisp and tender, about 6-8 minutes.
  • 3 heat oil in a skillet on medium heat and add mustard seeds.
  • 4 when they pop, turn heat low and add garlic and ginger.
  • 5 add rest of ingredients.
  • 6 mix well and heat through.
  • 7 serve warm, not hot.
