Cranberry Scones

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar
  • 3 tablespoons cold butter
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond breeze
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened vanilla almond breeze
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 pinch lemon zest

Recipe

  • 1 combine dry ingredients.
  • 2 crumble in butter.
  • 3 make a well and stir in milk and agave.
  • 4 stir in cranberries, walnuts, and zest.
  • 5 pat out into a 8" circle on lightly floured surface.
  • 6 cut into wedges and place on lightly greased baking sheet. brush with remaining tablespoon of milk.
  • 7 bake for 16 minutes on 425.
