Former "miss India" Manpreet Brar's Garlic Mushrooms

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, chopped
  • 300 g mushrooms, washed and drained
  • salt
  • 1 tablespoon red wine (you could use sherry/dry wine as a substitute)
  • fresh ground black pepper, to taste
  • parsley, to garnish

Recipe

  • 1 remove the stems of the mushrooms and keep aside.
  • 2 heat oil in a pan.
  • 3 add garlic and stir-fry till the raw smell is gone.
  • 4 add mushrooms, salt to taste, red wine/sherry and mix well.
  • 5 cover.
  • 6 simmer on low flame for 20 minutes till the mushrooms are golden brown.
  • 7 sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper.
  • 8 garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
  • 9 serve immediately.
