Ingredients

- 1 cup wheat, whole grain
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup half-and-half
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar or 1 tablespoon honey
- raisins (optional)
- stewed fruit (optional)
Recipe
- 1 in a large pot bring the water to the boil then add the wheat.
- 2 simmer until the wheat is soft enough to eat.
- 3 next morning add the milk (or the mixture of milk and cream) and the brown sugar or honey.
- 4 warm it up on the stove for a few minutes, stirring well, and then serve with dried or stewed fruit.
