Hairy Fingers

Total Time: 2 hrs Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/2 lb almonds or 1/2 lb walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, toasted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 lb kadaifi, pastry
  • 1 1/4 cups butter, melted
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 grease baking pan.
  • 3 mix nuts, crumbs, sugar and orange juice.
  • 4 divide the long threads of kadaifi pastry into 16 to 18 portions.
  • 5 on the end of each portion, place 1 heaping tablespoon of nut mixture.
  • 6 roll up loosely.
