French Toast

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 -5 drops vanilla essence
- 4 -5 slices stale bread
- 2 eggs
- 3 -5 teaspoons caster sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
Recipe
- 1 boil milk with sugar and essence.
- 2 remove from heat.
- 3 set aside.
- 4 soak bread slices in milk for a few seconds without letting bread fall apart.
- 5 then dip bread slices one at a time in beaten eggs.
- 6 heat butter in a pan.
- 7 fry the slices in the butter.
- 8 when golden in colour, turn the bread slices over and cook the other side.
- 9 arrange the slices in a serving dish.
- 10 sprinkle some castor sugar over the slices.
- 11 serve warm.
