Dee's Runza Filling

Total Time: 3 hrs Preparation Time: 2 hrs Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 4 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seed
  • 1 cup cabbage, chopped
  • 1/2 lb velveeta cheese, cubes or 1/2 lb swiss cheese, grated or 1/2 lb cheddar cheese, shredded

Recipe

  • 1 brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic powder.
  • 2 add the caraway seed and cabbage.
  • 3 sweat this mixture down; pour off any grease.
  • 4 roll out runza dough; cut into 8 squares.
  • 5 add filling to each square.
  • 6 add the cheese that you like .
  • 7 stretch the dough around the mixture.
  • 8 let rise until doubled.
  • 9 bake until dough is done.
