Fungus And Garlic

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 20 button mushrooms, whole
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4 tablespoons fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1/2-3/4 teaspoon garlic powder (or more for a stronger flavour) or 1/2-3/4 teaspoon garlic pepper seasoning
  • salt
  • pepper

Recipe

  • 1 dip the mushrooms in the egg.
  • 2 mix the breadcrumbs and the garlic granules and season with salt and pepper (don't add pepper if you are using garlic pepper).
  • 3 dip the mushrooms in the breadcrumb mixture.
  • 4 deep fry in hot oil until golden.
  • 5 drain and blot on kitchen paper.
  • 6 serve with cocktail sticks and a separate sauce for dipping such as bleu cheese dip or ranch dip.
