Coarse-ground Mustard

Total Time: 4 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 4 hrs Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mustard seeds
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 3 teaspoons coarse salt
  • 2 bay leaves, crushed

Recipe

  • 1 combine the mustard seed, wine and vinegar in a glass bowl, let stand 4 hours.
  • 2 place this mixture in a food processor and add remaining ingredients and pulse.
