Ham And Lamb Custard

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/2 lb sliced ham
  • 1/2 lb sliced lamb, cooked
  • 1 onion, sliced and sauted
  • 3 cups salted milk
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 cups grated cheese (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 place the meat and onions in a greased dish.
  • 2 in a saucepan, heat the salted milk to boiling, then lower the heat.
  • 3 beat together the eggs and flour.
  • 4 add the hot milk, beating constantly until well incorporated.
  • 5 pour the the mixture over the meat and dot with butter. bake at 325 f for 30 minutes or until set.
  • 6 sprinkle the cheese over the top.
  • 7 turn the oven off and let it sit until the cheese is melted.
  • 8 promptly remove and serve.
