Greek-style Party Pizzas

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 24 inches pita bread rounds
  • 1 (7 ounce) container hummus
  • 1 medium tomato, seeded and chopped
  • 3 ounces marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled (about 2 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded (about 2 ounces)
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 8 pitted ripe olives, quartered (optional)
  • oregano leaves, fresh (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 place pita rounds on a large baking sheet. spread each round with one-fourth of the hummus, leaving a 1-inch border.
  • 2 sprinkle each with one-fourth of the tomatoes, artichoke hearts, feta, and mozzarella. if desired, drizzle with oil and sprinkle with sesame seed.
  • 3 bake in a 450 degree f oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese has melted and edges are lightly browned. if desired, top with olives and oregano.
  • 4 cut into quarters. makes 16 appetizer servings.
