Chili And Pepper Buttered Steak

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 2 ounces butter, softened
  • 1/2 red chili pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse grain mustard
  • 1 teaspoon peppercorn, crushed
  • 2 sirloin steaks (6oz each, trimmed)

Recipe

  • 1 mix together the butter, chili, mustard and pepper until well blended, season with a little salt. using a small sheet of baking parchment, roll the butter into a small cylinder and chill well.
  • 2 meanwhile, griddle the steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side for a medium result or until desired (adjust timing for rare and well done).
  • 3 slice the butter into discs and place on top of the steak and serve with a salad or seasonal vegetables.
