Frikadeller (danish Meatballs)

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/2 lb lamb, ground twice
  • 1 lb beef, ground twice
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup water or 1 cup milk or 1 cup broth
  • butter (for frying)

Recipe

  • 1 place meat in large bowl. add all ingredients except butter.
  • 2 mix thoroughly then let stand for 15 minutes to let flour absorb the liquid.
  • 3 heat butter in skillet.
  • 4 dip tablespoon in butter in skillet and shape meat.
  • 5 fry over fairly low heat so meat doesn't brown before it is thoroughly cooked.
