Frikadeller (danish Meatballs)

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 lb ground beef or 1 lb lamb
- 5 ounces coarse unseasoned bread crumbs
- 1 finely diced onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup water
- oil or margarine (for cooking)
Recipe
- 1 combine well and make into meatballs.
- 2 heat skillet with choice of grease. turn to medium-high and place meatballs in pan.
- 3 turn them every 5 minutes and test with a fork for doneness (no pink). each batch usually takes about 10 minutes (5 on each side) to be well done.
- 4 place cooked meatballs on paper towel to dain.
- 5 serve with boiled new potatoes, brown gravy and pickled red cabbage for a true danish dinner.
