- 1 (750 ml) bottle red wine
- 3 -5 tablespoons sugar or 3 -5 tablespoons honey
- 2 -4 cinnamon sticks
- 4 -6 cloves
- 3 -4 cardamom pods
- orange peel, from 1 orange
Recipe
- 1 place all ingredients in a pot and slowly bring to a simmer over a low flame. do not boil.
- 2 cover and let steep on a very low flame for about 15 minutes.
- 3 strain, ladle into mugs and serve.
